  33. I want to use Kermit as telnet client with TCPPORT.EXE from WATTCP as
  34. redirector. In this case, TCPPORT handles the whole TCP/IP stuff and
  35. Kermit only does the terminal emulation - mine does it obviously
  36. incorrect.

  40. After CarrierDetect the terminal server waits for about 15 seconds to
  41. get a PAP handshake via LCP; if this fails I automaticly get a shell
  42. account, and from this point on there is no way to establish a PPP

  54. Yepp, but - as far as I see - only when Kermit itself handles the
  55. TCP/IP stuff (see above).

  57. I've got telnet run using another terminal program and it works fine;
  58. so why Kermit doesn't? It's too bad about that, because I like Kermit
  59. very much ...
